SIMLAB
SYSTEM SIMULATION MADE EASY.
Import. Simulate. Force. Confirm.
REMOVE DEPENDENCY ON PHYSICAL TEST EQUIPMENT
Import SCD and simulate all or selected number of Server IEDs. Ability to simulate inputs from missing IEDs will remove dependency on physical test or lab equipment. This provides incredible flexibility in engineering a complete system cost effectively.
SIMULATION IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE STANDARDS
SimLab not only conforms to the IEC 61850 Standard requirements, it is the industry first simulation software with conformance certification for the MMS Server & GOOSE elements. Check SimLab ‘PICS’ document for details.
TIME EFFICIENT SIMULATION
Simply import the SCL files and your simulation is ready to go. No further configuration required. All necessary information is automatically extracted from the SCL files including IP and MAC addresses.
SEARCH POINTS & FORCE VALUES MADE EASY
Convenient panels including Filters, Tag Browser, Point and DataSet are designed to simplify your search of system points allowing quick and easy changes to any values and quality bits.
POINT MONITORING AT GLANCE
Powerful Global Watch list will present the state of any simulation point of interest. Edit, save, export lists, import and reuse as needed.
COMMON WORKSPACE
As part of Engineering Studio, SimLab can simulate SCD system files engineered with SCL Matrix, or IED definitions saved by Discovery in previous Client/Server sessions.
2. Features
located at a Remote LAB, FAT or other Test facility.
SimLab = SimLab Application + SimLab 61850 Server Engine.SimLab Application and the SimLab IEC 61850 Engine will be installed on the local machine during the SimLab install process.
SimLab Application can connect either to the local SimLab Server engine or another server engine instance installed at a remote location. This architecture allows for convenient support for future Protocol Engines in development.
This includes operation of all Control Models, Buffer & UnBuffer Reporting, Logging, GOOSE Messaging, File Transfer, Setting Groups, Tracking Services etc. Check the conformance documents for details:Protocol Implementation ‘PICS’
TISSUES Implementation ‘TICS’
Protocol Implementation Extra Information ‘PIXIT’
Model Implementation ‘MICS’
All other parameters will be self-configured.
Simply click ‘Activate’ and the simulation begins
Change value of any of the Quality bit points.
Remote Clients can operate on any point substituting them with a fixed value.
You can create custom Point Watch lists and reuse them when needed. Add custom descriptions to the points with generic names that have no meaning (e.g.: Binary Input 1,2,3, or Indication 1,2,3)
