SCL MATRIX
IEC 61850 SYSTEMS CONFIGURATION UNDER YOUR CONTROL
1. Benefits
ENGINEERING PROCESS UNDER YOUR CONTROL
Tired and confused with using multiple tools for your system engineering? The System Configurator (SCL Matrix) is the only tool you will need for Top-Down (system specification) and Bottom-Up engineering (configuration of IEDs).
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
SCL Matrix conforms to the IEC 61850 Standard requirements. Our software passed Ed2 Conformance Certification testing. Check UCA Certificate document for details.
SPECIFY YOUR SYSTEM WITH VISUAL AID (SLD EDITOR)
Develop System Specifications with an easy-to-use SLD Editor designed to integrate pre-configured IEDs with specific functionality, and to connect intended substation functions (LNs) with physical equipment and apparatuses.
MMS, GOOSE AND PROCESS BUS COMMUNICATIONS VISUALIZED
The DataFlow Diagram component within SCL Matrix allows you to visualize MMS Client/Server interconnections, as well as GOOSE or Sampled Value Publisher/Subscriber relationships among the System IEDs.
EXPORT TO EXCEL. PDF, XML, HTML.
A powerful built-in wizard provides “Print and Export” options allowing you to save your work in PDF, Word, Excel, Text, XML, or HTML formats.
COMMON WORKSPACE – ENGINEERING STUDIO
As part of the Grid Software Engineering Studio, SCL Matrix can pass your engineered SCD system file across to SimLab for MMS Client/Server or GOOSE simulation, or across to gooseAir for simulation of Process Bus Sampled Values.
2. FEATURES
SCL Matrix supports the import/export of all relevant SCL files, supporting both Edition 1 and Edition 2. During the import, SCL Matrix will perform the validation of the SCL file according to the IEC 61850-6 part of the Standard. With SCL Matrix you can instantiate IEC 61850 based IEDs according to parameters defined in ICD/IID/CID files
The Top-Down Engineering Process provided by SCL Matrix is fully compliant with IEC 61850-6 part of the Standard.
SCL Matrix has an intuitive user interface equipped with easy-to-use drawing tools allowing you to draw single line diagrams of any complexity. Associate Logical Nodes with equipment and apparatuses with ease.
Using such tools, you can specify an entire substation section with a single line diagram by drawing voltage levels, bays and equipment. Use these tools to explain in detail your tendering requirements.
Based on the MMS Client/Server, GOOSE or Sampled Values relationship details located in a SCD file, the DataFlow Diagram of the SCL Matrix can draw visual connections between a MMS Client and MMS Servers (IEDs), GOOSE Publishers and GOOSE Subscribers, and SV Publishers (Merging Units) and SV Subscribers.
All connections are detailed in reference to: Access points, IP & MAC Addressing, Control Blocks with triggers, DataSets and their elements. Filters can be used to focus on specific connections of interest.
The DataFlow Diagram portion of SCL Matrix allows you to edit sections of an SCD file allowing you to make changes to Access Points, Control Blocks, and DataSets.
View a complete SCL structure of a project before exporting it to an SCD file.A user can manually add history items to document changes while engineering the project. SCL Matrix will automatically create history items for important events like creating or exporting project actions.
DataSet engineering is synchronized with the capability of IEDs listed in the Services section. As a result, you cannot exceed DataSet limits set by an IED.
SCL Matrix fully supports engineering of datasets. Create and configure datasets according to IED capabilities. Save time and effort by filtering IED data objects and attributes by functional constraints (FC) of interest, before allocating them to DataSets
SCL Matrix supports engineering of MMS Report Control Blocks.
Create and configure report control blocks according to IED capabilities. Allocate data sets to report control blocks, set the integrity period, buffer time, trigger options, optional fields and other parameters.
SCL Matrix fully supports engineering of Data Logs.
Create and configure log control blocks according to IED capabilities. Allocate data sets and logs to log control blocks and set integrity period, buffer time, trigger options and other parameters.
Set MMS Client/Server relationship with a few clicks.
Allocate clients to MMS report control blocks and then select the receiving logical node on the Client IED. SCL Matrix will automatically create input sections and external references.
Create and configure GOOSE control blocks according to IED capabilities. Allocate data sets to GOOSE control blocks, set the minimum and maximum time for retransmission, set the multicast MAC address, application identifier & VLAN parameters.
Simplify GOOSE Publisher/Subscriber engineering using the easy-to-manage Subscribers checkbox table.
Allocate subscribers to GOOSE control blocks and select the receiving logical node on a Subscriber IED. SCL Matrix will automatically create input sections and external references.
SCL Matrix supports engineering of Process Bus Sampled Values.
Create and configure sampled value control blocks according to IED capabilities and allocate subscribers to SV control blocks. Allocate data sets to SV control blocks, set multicast MAC address and other parameters.
Services – Communication capability at glance.
SCL Matrix will present IED communication capabilities as defined in the Services section. Use this table to compare capabilities between two or more IEDs.
